Two-time Olympic swimming champion Yevgeny Rylov does not agree to participate in the 2024 Games in Paris under a neutral flag and without the national anthem. The participant of the Z-rally in Luzhniki last March, for which he was disqualified for nine months, also thanked dictator Vladimir Putin.
Rylov said this in an interview with Sovetsky Sport. Commenting on Putin's statement that the decision to participate in the Olympics should be made by the athletes themselves, the swimmer criticized the International Olympic Committee (IOC) for allegedly being unfair to Russians.

"Vladimir Vladimirovich gives everyone a choice. For athletes, the Olympics is the meaning of life. It is the highest level. But so far, I don't agree with the IOC's conditions. I don't really want to go to Paris, especially if I have to sign a declaration. My position now is that I don't intend to go anywhere," Rylov said.
