Valuev complains to Ukraine, France and Israel over call for truce during 2024 Olympics
Former world heavyweight champion Nikolay Valuev spoke out against the Olympic truce called for by French President Emmanuel Macron and Chinese President Xi Jinping. This year's so-called State Duma deputy also made false accusations against the hosts of the upcoming 2024 Games in Paris, Ukraine and Israel.
Valuev said this in an interview with Sport24. The accomplice of Vladimir Putin's dictatorial regime issued a portion of nonsense that everyone is deceiving Russia, forgetting about the categorical refusal of the Russian terrorist state to comply with international treaties and rules.
"Xi Jinping could not say otherwise and not support the initiative of a truce for the duration of the Paris Olympics. And I understand him. Only the truce is impossible to even expect. And all this is because of the deceitful nature of Macron, Zelensky and Netanyahu," Valuev said.
Earlier, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov called the Olympic truce impossible, accusing Ukraine of wanting to use it for military purposes. In his turn, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy clearly proved Russia's lies about the ceasefire.
The 2024 Olympics will take place in Paris from July 26 to August 11. Representatives of the Russian Federation are allowed to compete in the so-called neutral status and only in individual events.
As OBOZ.UA previously reported, two-time Olympic swimming medalist Kliment Kolesnikov was angry about the conditions of admission of Russian athletes to the 2024 Games in Paris and refused to compete.
