Klimas spoke about the fight between Usyk and Fury

The manager of Oleksandr Usyk (21-0, 14 KOs), Egis Klimas, expressed confidence that the fight against Tyson Fury (34-0-1, 24 KOs) will not be disrupted and will take place on May 18. The representative of the Ukrainian boxer also added that our compatriot has already written his name in the history of sports.

Klimas said this in an interview with the Seconds Out YouTube channel. Oleksandr's manager emphasized that his client's preparation for the fight with Fury is practically no different from previous training camps. In addition, Tyson will not be able to influence his opponent with his statements.

"I think we will finally see this match. It's time to see it. We don't have any special changes in preparation for the match. Why change something if it works? Usyk did the same thing in the heavyweight division on his way to the absolute championship. He has already proven his status. This guy won the cruiserweight championship, took three heavyweight belts. And now he can add another one, which no one has ever done before. Fury's statements? They don't affect Usyk in any way. Fury just doesn't think. He'll tell you whatever you want," Klimas said.

Earlier, two "moles" were found in Fury's team, and it also became known that the former Russian champion will return to the boxing event in Saudi Arabia. Also, British bookmakers changed their quotes for the fight and stopped considering their compatriot a favorite.

Before that, Tyson mentioned the war in Ukraine. In turn, Oleksandr told what he would do if the Briton refused to enter the ring on May 18.

In turn, the former world champion Carl Froch in the second middleweight division questioned the holding of the Usyk-Fury fight. It became known what advice Volodymyr Klychko gave to Oleksandr. Also, the USSR champion Yuri Arbachakov expressed confidence that the Ukrainian would have to take risks in the fight.

As OBOZ.UA previously reported, promoter Oleksandr Krasiuk spoke about the problem with holding the fight between Oleksandr Usyk and Tyson Fury on May 18. The Ukrainian boxer himself named the main strength of the opponent.
