The fight took place in Wroclaw, Poland

Unbeaten Ukrainian boxer Oleksandr Usyk (21-0, 14 KOs) won his fifth heavyweight bout, defending his WBO, WBA and IBF titles. At the Tarczynski Arena in Wroclaw, Poland, the 36-year-old Simferopol native defeated British challenger Daniel Dubois (19-2, 18 KOs) by technical knockout in the 9th round.

Starting from the second three minutes Oleksandr tried to seize the initiative, working the first number. Usyk emphasized his jab, occasionally throwing right side kicks. Dubois tried to respond with doubles. Once the Briton managed to get Sasha with an uppercut.

In the third round, the Ukrainian occasionally gave dominance in the ring to his opponent, "fluttering" around him. The sharp Brit was waiting for Usyk to linger in his attack and catch him with a short "spit".

In the fourth segment, most of Dubois' punches caught the air, while Oleksandr's jabs found the jaw of the British athlete.

At the beginning of the 5th round, Usyk received a sneaky kick between his legs from Dubois and lay on the ring floor for several minutes.

The referee stopped the fight, giving our fighter time to recover.

Immediately after the fight resumed, Dubois was on the attack, trying to finish the Ukrainian. The Crimean was visibly energized and landed a few punches on his opponent.
