Usyk officially became a footballer of the UPL club

Ukrainian WBA, WBO, IBA and IBF heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk (20-0, 13 KOs) has signed a contract with the Polissya club from Zhytomyr. Club president Hennadii Butkevych and the 36-year-old super featherweight signed an official one-year soccer partnership agreement.
"Usyk will perform under the number 17. The rest of the details of the contract are expected later. Follow the announcements," the official website of the UPL debutant reported.
As OBOZREVATEL reported, on May 14, "Polissya" in the 6th round of the second stage of the championship group of the First League on its field with a large score defeated Kremenchuk "Kremen" (5:0) and for two rounds before the end guaranteed an exit to the Premier League.
We remind that Usyk has been training for Zhytomyr team for a long time. In January last year, he played against Rivne's Veres at the Winter Cup tournament in Turkey.
Volodymyr Zagursky, director of the Zhytomyr club, said in an interview that Usyk is Butkevych's friend, comparing the WBA, WBO, IBA and IBF champion to Karim Benzema.
