Ukraine is determined: 35 countries threatened to boycott the 2024 Olympics because of Russia

Ukraine, together with its allies in confronting Russian aggression, is ready to boycott the 2024 Games in Paris if representatives of Russia and Belarus are allowed to compete. The countries expect the International Olympic Committee (IOC) to respond appropriately to the crimes against our people.
This was written by the Prime Minister of Ukraine Denis Shmygal in his Telegram-channel. The head of the Cabinet of Ministers recalled that since the beginning of the full-scale invasion on February 24 last year, Russia had killed almost 340 of our athletes and coaches and destroyed 343 sports facilities.
"States that stain themselves with the blood of Ukrainians cannot participate in the Olympic Games. Ukraine is determined. A powerful international coalition for fair sport has formed, including 35 states. Together we are ready to boycott the Olympic Games in Paris, if Russia and Belarus are allowed to participate in the competition. We expect the IOC to make the right decision and decisively remove the aggressor from the Olympics," said Shmygal.
Earlier, the president of the National Olympic Committee (NOC) of Ukraine, Vadym Gutzeit, said that Ukrainian athletes would boycott the 2024 Games if Russia and Belarus were allowed to compete under their national flags.
Recall, a year before the start of the Olympic Games-2024, July 26, the IOC did not send Russia and Belarus an invitation to the competition. In addition, the media revealed the IOC plans to admit the Russians to the Games as a refugee team.
As reported by OBOZREVATEL, the president of the Russian Weightlifting Federation (FTAR) Maxim Agapitov expressed a ridiculous opinion that the Games in Paris can not carry the status of Olympic Games, and the real OI will be held in Moscow under the name of "Friendship Games", which ordered to organize dictator Vladimir Putin and where cynically invited Ukraine.
