"Total nonsense": promoter tells if Fury will fight Usik, catching Tyson on a bluff
British champion Tyson Fury (33-0-1, 24 KOs) will probably fight Ukrainian Oleksandr Usik (20-0, 13 KOs) in his next fight. The super show is to be held in December in Saudi Arabia, and the Gypsy King, as the Manchester native is called, is blatantly bluffing when he talks about preparations for the fight in the summer.
Eddie Hearn, the promoter of Anthony Joshua (25-3, 22 KOs), made sure of that in his interview to iFL TV YouTube channel. He called bullshit and nonsense the media reports that Tyson wants to fight local fighter Dempsey McKeon (22-0, 14 KOs) in Australia.
"That, of course, is complete nonsense. Fury won't box in Australia, he flew there to watch the Joseph Parker fight and just wanted to entertain the public. I doubt Fury will agree to any fight other than with Usik in December, because the money he can get for him, Tyson won't make anywhere else. I don't expect Fury to fight anytime soon in the summer," Hearn said.
Recall that Saudi Arabia intends to organize Usik vs. Fury and Joshua vs. Deontay Wilder (43-2-1, 42 KOs) fights on the same night in December. The media published the boxers' fees for the grand show. The total amount will be at least $250 million. That said, Anthony has already confirmed his fight against Deontay.
Earlier, Tyson called Usik an ugly coward and expressed his readiness to fight the Ukrainian already in the summer. In addition, he accused the Ukrainian of greed, which led to the disruption of the fight on April 29.
As reported by OBOZREVATEL, at a press conference in Tenerife Tyson Fury recently made a boorish prank on Alexander Usik. He also promised to destroy the Ukrainian champion.
