Top Usyk left: sparring partner of Ukrainian evaluated the boxer
British boxer Dave Allen (21-5-2, 18 KOs) expressed confidence that Oleksandr Usyk (21-0, 14 KOs) has passed the peak of his career. The sparring partner of our unified heavyweight champion added that the Ukrainian will now be every way to get a fight against Tyson Fury (33-0-1, 24 KOs).
This was stated by Allen in an interview with the YouTube channel Boxing UK. The 31-year-old native of Doncaster noted that the fight with Fury is actually the only one that makes sense for Usyk. Earlier, Tyson's promoter Frank Warren named the likely dates of the fight for the title of absolute world champion in the heavyweight division.
"I think Usyk definitely wants Fury. He knows he's not getting any younger. He's naturally smaller in stature than Fury and I think his career is coming to an end. I think the top Usyk is probably gone. But given the kind of guy he's proven himself to be, he wants to fight for the absolute best. He's going to push for the Fury fight. That's the biggest money. I think at the moment there are a lot of superweights who fancy their chances with Tyson. Talking about Usyk, at the moment I say it's Fury or nothing," Allen said.
Earlier, Fury sharply expressed in the address of Oleksandr Usyk. In turn, the coach of the Ukrainian Sergey Lapin ridiculed Tyson and his team.
Legendary Russian Kostya Tszyu considers the fight difficult for Oleksandr, but called him the best super featherweight in the world at the moment. And another representative of the Russian Federation Nikolay Valuev spoke disparagingly about the Ukrainian's chances in the fight with Fury.
As reported OBOZREVATEL, the World Boxing Association (WBA) issued a statement on the scandal in the fight between Oleksandr Usyk and Daniel Dubois. The World Boxing Council (WBC) made a similar move. Also for the first time the fight between the Ukrainian and the British commented in the team of Tyson Fury.
