"They're imposing on us": Russian champion is afraid that Russians will be forced to "kneel and kiss something"
Russian boxing champion Vladimir Nosov expressed confidence that the aggressor country needs to develop alternative competitions due to the conditions of admission previously published by the International Olympic Committee (IOC). He demanded not to agree to the demands to condemn the war in Ukraine and to take a neutral stand, fearing that "then there will be a need to kneel".
Nosov said this on the air of the propaganda TV channel "Match TV". He called international organisations "the carriages of a train going downhill" that Russia should not even try to cling to, and stressed the importance of refusing to cooperate with the civilised world.
"There is a very delicate game going on. Sport can divide people a lot. What if this is an attempt to divide our people. After testing the situation on sports, they will move on. The IOC, WHO, IMF, UN are the carriages of a train going downhill, and for some reason we are trying to run after it, grab the handle, sit down. We need to say goodbye to the train that is going the wrong way. We need to direct our energies to an alternative. Now the grey uniform is being imposed on us, the rejection of flags, and then we will have to kneel down and kiss something. This is the way to nowhere! Goodwill games would be a good alternative," Nosov said.
Recall that the International Olympic Committee (IOC) recommended that federations suspend Russian athletes related to the Russian army and law enforcement agencies, as well as team sports.
As OBOZREVATEL previously reported, Russia was banned from the 2023 European Games in Poland. In response, the State Duma called this selection for the 2024 Olympics a "scam" that "should have been dispersed long ago."
