Chernyshenko condemned the IOC

Russian Vice President Dmitry Chernyshenko has expressed an absurd idea that Europeans and Americans will not be able to calmly look into the eyes of representatives of the aggressor country after the war in Ukraine ends. The Vladimir Putin regime's henchman complained about the allegedly unfair exclusion of Russian athletes from international competitions.

Chernyshenko said this in an interview with the propaganda news agency RIA Novosti. The official also accused the head of the International Olympic Committee (IOC), Thomas Bach, of not supporting Russia, which "helped him become president."

"My pain is personal because we helped Bach to become president of the IOC, he was supported by Russia, Vladimir Putin was the first to congratulate him when he was elected in Buenos Aires... To force our national team, to humiliate it, to perform not only without the anthem and flag but also in neutral white colors... In general, this has already happened in history, we have gone through it... How ashamed these people will feel when this foam goes away and the real values will come out. I wonder how they will look us in the eyes after all this, when all this stupidity goes away," an accomplice in the crimes of the Russian terrorist state against Ukraine said.

Earlier, the IOC allowed Russian and Belarusian athletes to participate in the 2024 Olympics in a neutral status. However, it was only for individual events, and the athletes themselves had to meet certain criteria. In response, swimmer Yevgeny Rylov refused to travel to Paris, and the rhythmic gymnastics team announced a boycott of the tournament in its entirety.
