"There is a lot of optimism": new information on the possible Usyk-Fury fight appeared online

The teams of Tyson Fury (33-0-1, 24 KOs) and Oleksandr Usyk (21-0, 14 KOs) are actively negotiating the organization of a fight for the title of absolute world heavyweight champion. Despite the refusal to fight the Ukrainian, both sides are very optimistic.
Mike Coppinger, a well-known insider, wrote about this on his page on X, formerly known as Twitter. According to him, the promoters are set to hold a historic fight next year, while Fury is actively preparing for his fight against mixed martial arts fighter Francis Ngannou.
"Tyson Fury is focused on his Oct. 28 fight with Francis Ngannou, but talks are heating up for a fight against Oleksandr Usyk next year for the heavyweight title in Saudi Arabia. ESPN sources say there's a lot of optimism that a deal for Fury-Usyk will be done," Coppinger said.
Earlier, Fury called Usyk a fraud after his victory over Daniel Dubois (19-2, 29 KOs). The Gypsy King also mocked the Ukrainian, who " rolled around the ring" after being hit in the fifth round of the fight on August 26 and set his own conditions for a fight against Oleksandr.
Tyson's promoter Frank Warren has announced the approximate dates of the Gypsy King's fight with Usyk. Legendary Russian Kostya Tszyu believes the fight will be difficult for Oleksandr, but calls him the best heavyweight in the world at the moment.
Another Russian representative Nikolai Valuev spoke negatively about the Ukrainian's chances in a fight with Fury. In turn, Usyk's coach Sergey Lapin ridiculed Tyson and his team.
As OBOZREVATEL previously reported, Tyson Fury's promoter Bob Arum made a sharp and categorical statement about his client's fight with Oleksandr Usyk.
