The Kremlin's statement on Russia's isolation was assessed with the words "What pills is he taking?"
Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko said that in the International Olympic Committee (IOC) "a monopoly of selected nations is flourishing", and the Russian Federation will never be isolated from international sport. Chernyshenko made this comment after the aggressor country did not receive an invitation to the 2024 Olympics.
"Our country has a huge experience, motivation and perspective to make formats on the scale of the Olympic Games and even cooler on its own. Very soon only our country will host the International Festival of University Sports with the participation of representatives of the SCO, BRICS, CIS, and in 2024 the Future Games, Friendship Games, and BRICS Games will be held for the first time. We are confident that we will be able to prepare a worthy response to the actions of the world sports lobby," said Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation in an interview with R-Sport.
Such pathos words of the official caused ridicule among Russian fans. Many recommended Chernyshenko to take medication.
Users also noted that everything said by the Russian Deputy Prime Minister fits perfectly into the canvas of their country.
"It's good that we are ruled not by grandfathers who are out of their minds, but by young people," Russians quipped.
