The composition of the Ukrainian national basketball team for the training camp before the qualification of the Olympics-2024 has been determined
Already this week, starting July 15, the Ukrainian men's national basketball team will begin preparations for the Olympic Games prequalification matches to be held in Istanbul in August.
The team will gather in Riga, where under the guidance of the new head coach Vitaliy Stepanovskyi will hold a training camp.
The roster of the Ukraine national team, which will be preparing for the matches, has been determined: Vitaliy Zotov, Oleksandr Kovliar, Iliia Tyrtyshnyk, Issouf Sanon, Pavlo Krutous, Oleksandr Lypovyi, Andrii Voynalovich, Viacheslav Bobrov, Ihor Chumakov, Serhiy Pavlov, Viacheslav Petrov, Viacheslav Kravtsov, Artem Pustovyi.
"There are 14 players in the lineup now. Of course, we will count on the guys who are now in the USA to the last. This applies not only to Len and Mykhailiuk, but also to Shulga and Skapintsev. I hope they will be able to solve all the documents issues and they will be able to join the team. As for Dmytro Skapintsev, he is now playing in the Summer League and is doing everything to try to get a contract in the NBA club," Vitaliy Stepanovskiy commented on his choice.
To remind, due to injuries, defenders Illia Sydorov, Denys Lukashov and forward Ivan Tkachenko can not help the national team.

To remind, within the group round of pre-Olympic qualification rivals of the national team of Ukraine were the teams of Turkey, Bulgaria and Iceland. The matches will be held in Istanbul.
To qualify for the qualification tournament Ukraine needs to become one of the two best at the group stage, and then win the playoffs, starting with the semifinals. Only the winners of the pre-qualification tournaments will get a place in the Olympic qualification tournament.
