The All-Ukrainian Athletes Forum was held in Kyiv

On Saturday, December 22, on the 33rd anniversary of the establishment of the National Olympic Committee of Ukraine, the All-Ukrainian Athletes Forum was held at the Koncha Zaspa Olympic Training and Sports Center. This is a large-scale event organized jointly with the National Olympic Committee of Ukraine's Athletes' Commission, which emphasizes the importance of every athlete in our country.

The event was attended by the leadership of the National Olympic Committee of Ukraine, the head and representatives of the NOC of Ukraine Athletes' Commission, athletes from various Olympic sports, including champions and medalists of the Olympic Games, World and European Championships; as well as media representatives.

Representatives of the international Olympic community also joined the event: Emma Terho, Chair of the IOC Athletes' Commission, and Kaveh Mehrabi, Director of the IOC Athletes' Department.

"Due to the fact that the boys and girls are now defending Ukraine, our land, our families, all of us, we are here, we met at our home Olympic base... At such a time, we are united by the thirst for victory. First of all, in the war. And, of course, for us, people of sport, the thirst for victory in competitions is inherent. It is important that we are together! Our strength is in our unity," said Vadym Gutzeit, President of the National Olympic Committee of Ukraine, in his welcoming speech.

Head of the NOC of Ukraine Athletes Commission Georgii Zantaraia and his colleagues - Olympic champions and medalists: Yurii Cheban, Anastasiia Kozhenkova, Oleksandr Abramenko and Marta Fedina, informed the audience about the main projects and successful cases implemented by the Commission members during the current year. Undoubtedly, the main focus was on the systemic fight against the admission of Russian and Belarusian athletes to international competitions.

How to be proactive, preserve and increase your resources, restore your mental health, and what support programs and platforms for personal development are available, said Dmytro Kirpulianskyi, a lecturer at the International Olympic Committee's Career+ program, Honored Master of Sports of Ukraine in modern pentathlon.

In addition, the forum participants learned a lot about the National Anti-Doping Center and opportunities for themselves. TV journalist Yulia Andrusenko gave practical advice on how to create a personal brand through social media and use it for further success.

The forum participants actively participated in the discussion of the topics raised during the forum. Oleksandr Krykun, Vice President of the NOC of Ukraine, who headed the NOC of Ukraine Athletes Commission for two terms, expressed his admiration for the position of Ukrainian athletes and called on them to cooperate, take initiatives to implement useful projects and further develop the Ukrainian Olympic movement.
