Russian world champion demanded that Russia be allowed to participate in the Olympics to save world sport
World indoor track and field champion Yolanda Chen advocated the participation of Russian athletes at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris in a neutral status. She expressed her pathos opinion that it would be good for the whole world and would help world sport not to fall apart.
Chen said this in an interview with the propaganda TV channel Russia Today. The long jumper bowed to dictator Vladimir Putin, who with words about the "sublimation of war" in sports opposed the boycott of the 2024 Games and spoke about the degradation of the Olympic movement.
"I believe that the president's words about the Russians' independent decision to perform at the Olympic Games in Paris are quite justified. This is the right message for them and without unnecessary pressure. First of all, we are talking about the federations of those sports that will be allowed to participate. But taking into account the latest trends in the West, I believe that the Ministry of Sports of our country and the Russian Olympic Committee should form recommendations for our athletes in case of traveling to the Olympics. If Russian and Belarusian athletes leave the IOC, everything will fall apart," Chen said.
The day before, Putin's press secretary Dmitry Peskov drove Russians to hysterics with words about the participation of Russian representatives at the Olympic Games 2024 without a flag and anthem. And the official representative of the Foreign Ministry of the aggressor country Maria Zakharova said that "the world has one last chance to save world sport".
As reported by OBOZREVATEL, an aide to dictator Vladimir Putin Igor Levitin with the words "what kind of suckers you are" was raised to laughter after his hit on the IOC. In turn, Russian Sports Minister Oleg Matytsin demanded that the IOC exclude Putin's "condemnation of President Putin's policies" from the conditions of admission to the Olympic Games in 2024.
