World champion in triple jump indoors Yolanda Chen accused the International Olympic Committee (IOC) of treating Ukrainian athletes exceptionally. The former track and field athlete was angered by the admission of fencer Olga Kharlan to the Games-2024 in Paris.

Chen said this in an interview with the propaganda channel Match TV. The winner of the Barcelona-95 World Championships called Kharlan a criminal for refusing to shake hands with Russian fencer Anna Smirnova at the 2023 World Championships in Milan, and the IOC's decision to grant Olga an additional quota for the Olympic Games in 2024 a manifestation of powerlessness.

"Kharlan had no right to raise her saber above the floor when there is no contest going on. Because it is an open threat. Our federation should have realized that there would be provocations. Time will pass and everything will fall into place. And these facts, which are fixed legally and visually, will be against them. Ukrainian athletes are getting used to complete impunity. Propaganda channel Match TV published a photo of the denunciation that Smirnova wrote on Olga. The International Fencing Federation (FIE) disqualified the Ukrainian, but the very next day suspended the disqualification.
