The head of the Russian Rhythmic Gymnastics Federation, Irina Viner, threw a real tantrum over the conditions for Russian athletes to participate in the 2024 Olympics. The official called the suspension of representatives of the aggressor country from the opening ceremony of the Games in Paris a real "spit in the face of the entire people of Russia."

Viner said this in a comment to the propaganda news agency R-Sport. A member of the Supreme Council of the United Russia party and an ally of Vladimir Putin's regime, she also opposed the trip of her compatriots to the French capital under a neutral flag.

"From the very beginning, at the Presidential Council for the Development of Physical Culture and Sports, I said that it is a shame for our boys and girls to compete under the white flag, both Olympians and Paralympians. If someone goes there, they will not be happy. Such humiliations as not being able to attend the opening ceremony is a spit in the face of the entire Russian people because of our athletes," Viner said.
