Khryunov speaks out about Usyk vs. Dubois

Well-known Russian promoter Vladimir Khryunov has expressed his hope to defeat unified world heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk (20-0, 13 KOs) in a fight with British challenger Daniel Dubois (19-1, 18 KOs). The fight for three Ukrainian titles will take place on Saturday, August 26, in Wroclaw.

In a commentary to the propaganda TV channel "Match TV," Khryunov noted that he does not pay attention to Usyk's career, who actively condemns Russia for its military invasion of Ukraine. The representative of the aggressor country wished our champion to lose early to Dubois.

"I try not to follow what's going on with Usik. I expect Usyk to lose by knockout," said the former manager of former world champion Alexander Povetkin.

Usik expects to fight Tyson Fury (33-0-1, 24 KOs) for the world heavyweight title if he successfully defends his belt. Saudi Arabia was set to arrange the Usyk vs. Fury and Anthony Joshua (25-3, 22 KOs) vs. Deontay Wilder (43-2-1, 42 KOs) fights on the same night. The media has published the boxers' fees for the big show. That said, Anthony has already confirmed his fight against Deontay.

Later, Fury unexpectedly changed the rhetoric in his remarks about Usik, wishing him good luck. And the former world champion Johnny Nelson slammed the British champion because of his fight with the Ukrainian. For his part, the legendary Hasim Rahman expressed confidence that Usik would knock out Fury.

Promoter Frank Warren announced that Tyson will not fight Usyk in Saudi Arabia this December. This decision by the Gypsy King shocked former world heavyweight champion Tony Bellew.

As reported by OBOZREVATEL, Daniel Dubois promised to "shock the world" in a fight against Oleksandr Usyk.
