Russian Olympic champion complained that "Ukraine is angry with us", ridiculing Usyk
Two-time Olympic champion Dmitry Vasiliev called the words of Oleksandr Usyk about his desire to run for president a PR stunt. The former biathlete complained that "Ukraine is so angry with us now", noting that Russia is not to blame.
Vasilyev said this in a comment to the propaganda news agency RIA Novosti. The winner of the Sarajevo 84 and Calgary 88 Games as part of the relay team added that he found it funny to watch Usyk's statements without catching the irony in the words of our boxer.
"When a person who had no life or professional experience in politics tries to be a leader, it makes you smile and disappointed. No one knows what will happen to the country. I think that Oleksandr Usyk's statement is a PR stunt, an attempt to make a name for himself and attract additional attention. It is unlikely to help relations with Russia. Unfortunately, Ukraine is now so angry with us, even though they had a hand in this. It will take a long time for the attitude towards Russia to change," Vasilyev said.
Earlier, former world heavyweight champion Denis Lebedev repeated Vladimir Zhirinovsky's stupidity that Ukraine would not exist in the future and repeated the Kremlin's propaganda narrative about the European Union, where "they are in a hurry to marry kittens and dogs".
As OBOZREVATEL previously reported, former Russian Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) champion Khabib Nurmagomedov spoke out about Oleksandr Usyk.
