Pozdnyakov speaks about the IOC

The International Olympic Committee (IOC) is allegedly obliged to move the 2024 Games from France to another country after Paris Mayor Anne Hidalgo declared her unwillingness to see athletes from Russia and Belarus compete. At the same time, representatives of the Russian Federation are outraged that the IOC has not responded to the mayor's statement.

The president of the Russian Olympic Committee (ROC) Stanislav Pozdnyakov wrote about this on his Telegram channel. The Vladimir Putin regime's henchman pretended not to understand this attitude toward representatives of the aggressor country and accused Paris of being unprepared for the Olympics.

"In theory, if the host city is not ready to host the athletes who have been granted the right to compete, the IOC should at least move the Games to another location. But the IOC leadership does not comment on Ms. Hidalgo's individual political demarche at all. Their silence should be seen as a transfer of authority to host the Games to the Paris authorities, who have the right to determine who is welcome and who is not," Pozdnyakov said.

As reported by OBOZ.UA, the president of the Russian Wrestling Federation, Mikhail Mamiashvili, complained that in Paris, "Wehrmacht troops were joyfully welcomed" but they "do not want to see" Russians. And two-time Olympic gymnastics champion Lidia Ivanova called Anne Hidalgo an idiot.
