Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova threatened the mayor of Paris with sanctions in response to her words about Russian athletes. During a trip to Kyiv, Anne Hidalgo said that athletes from Russia and Belarus would not be welcome at the 2024 Olympics, which will take place from July 26 to August 11.

A few days ago, the IOC allowed the Russians who qualified to participate in the Paris Olympics in a neutral status under strict conditions.
