Ukrainian boxer Vasyl Lomachenko (17-3, 11 KOs) after his defeat from WBC, IBF, WBA Super, WBO champion Devin Haney (30-0, 15 KOs) did not mention his homeland. During a flash-interview at MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, the 35-year-old native of Belgorod-Dnistrovsky thanked everyone but Ukraine.

Loma crossed himself and said that first of all he says thanks to the Lord Jesus. Then the boxer said "thank you" to his team.

"I want to thank my father, my manager, Andrei, the catman, my family, my friends. And thank you guys for coming to support me," Vasil said, addressing the audience.

Vasya refused to answer an interviewer's question about whether he deserved to be the outright champion.

"You all saw what happened today. I think I can be in boxing. I'm in good shape. I'll see you again," Lomachenko added.

The Ukrainian boxer disagreed with the opinion that his dream was stolen from him.

"For me it's just an uncomfortable moment. The fight went by the rules. I expected more from Haney. He's a good boxer, but not a pound-for-pound fighter," Vasya commented on his fight.

Speaking about his future plans, Loma said he planned to return home "to support my country and my Ukrainian Orthodox Church.

As OBOZREVATEL reported, the lightweight fight at MGM Grand Garden Arena went all 12 rounds and ended with a unanimous decision of the judges 116-112, 115-113, 115-113 in favor of the American.

After Vasil's fight, he couldn't contain his emotions and burst into tears.
