Lomachenko has made a career decision because of the "sh*tty situation in Ukraine"

Former world champion in three weight categories Vasyl Lomachenko (17-3, 11 KOs) will not return to the ring until the end of this year. The native of Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi admitted that it is difficult for him to focus on training while Ukraine is confronting Russian military aggression.
This was reported by the promoter of our boxer Bob Arum in an interview with the Isaiah Tilson 360 Talking Points YouTube channel. According to him, it is connected to the refusal of the Ukrainian to accept the challenge of the undefeated former world champion in two weight categories Shakur Stevenson (20-0, 10 KOs).
"Lomachenko will not make the fight this year. He wants to take time to rest. It's still a sh*tty situation in Ukraine. He lives pretty close to Odesa, which is constantly being bombed. He can't focus on training. I don't think his refusal has anything to do with Shakur," Arum stated.
Earlier, Stevenson called Lomachenko a coward after he refused to enter the ring with him. The World Boxing Council (WBC) awarded the Ukrainian a championship fight earlier.
Vasyl held his last fight on May 20, when he lost to American Devin Haney (30-0-0, 15 KOs).
As reported by OBOZREVATEL, former absolute world champion in lightweight George Kambosos challenged Vasyl Lomachenko to a fight in Australia.
