"I've just started": Fury answers the question whether the fight with Usyk will take place

The owner of the World Boxing Council (WBC), Tyson Fury, has no doubt that the fight against Oleksandr Usyk (21-0, 14 KOs) will take place on May 18. The Gypsy King, as the Briton is known, confirmed that he has returned to training camp after an injury that led to the disruption of the fight in February.

Fury said this in a comment to the Manchester Evening News. According to the boxer, he will be 100% ready for the confrontation with the Ukrainian champion, noting that in mid-May all fans and experts will be able to see his ability to beat Usyk.

"I'm in good shape. I've got nine weeks left, so in nine weeks you can see if I'm fit and if I'm ready for the fight. I just started training, just a few days ago, so yeah, I'll definitely be fit and ready to fight," Fury said.

Earlier, Oleksandr told us what he would do if the Briton refused to enter the ring. In turn, Tyson promised to easily defeat the Ukrainian. The WBC announced its intention to change the boxing rules for the Usyk-Fury fight. And the Briton spoke frankly about his injury.
