"It will be like a slap in the face": Russian Olympic champion demanded Russia boycott the 2024 Games "on behalf of the generation of winners"
Four-time Olympic champion Alexander Tikhonov demanded that Russian athletes refuse to compete at the 2024 Games in Paris under a neutral flag. The former biathlete called such conditions of admission for athletes from Russia a real slap in the face.
Tikhonov said this in a commentary to the R-Sport propaganda news agency. The winner of the gold medal of the 68-80 Games called himself a representative of the "generation of winners" who has the right to decide the fate of other athletes, spitting on their careers.
"I think athletes should perform with a flag and anthem. Are we an impersonal country? We have a flag and anthem. It would be a slap in the face to us if athletes agreed to play without a flag and anthem. I am against it on behalf of the generation of winners," Tikhonov said.
Earlier, world indoor track and field champion Yolanda Chen demanded that Russia be allowed to participate in the Olympics to save world sport. In turn, the press secretary of dictator Vladimir Putin Dmitry Peskov, made Russians hysterical after his words about the participation of Russian representatives at the Olympic Games 2024 without a flag and anthem. The official representative of the Foreign Ministry of the aggressor country Maria Zakharova said that "the world has one last chance to save world sport".
As reported by OBOZREVATEL, an aide to dictator Vladimir Putin Igor Levitin was mocked with the words "what kind of s*ckers you are" after his went off at the IOC. In turn, Russian Sports Minister Oleg Matytsin demanded that the IOC exclude the request of "condemnation of President Putin's policies" from the conditions of admission to the Olympic Games in 2024.
