"It will be a bloodbath": Chisora tells what to expect in Usyk-Fury fight

Chisora praised the fight between Usyk and Fury

British veteran Dereck Chisora (34-13, 23 KOs) expressed confidence that his compatriot Tyson Fury (34-0-1, 24 KOs) will have a very difficult time in his fight against Oleksandr Usyk (21-0, 14 KOs) on May 18. The situation of the Gypsy King, as the Manchester native is called, is complicated by his cut, which he received about two months ago in one of his sparring sessions.

Chisora shared this opinion in an interview with the Lights Out YouTube channel, boxingnews24.com reports. According to the former rival of Tyson and Oleksandr, the Ukrainian champion will try to strike Fury's right eye in an attempt to aggravate the dissection of his opponent.

"Fury will have to box. He won't be able to just stand in front of Usyk, because his eye is still not healed. You can still see the cut under the eye. I know that Usyk will be training how to strike in the eye so that the dissection opens up again. So it's going to be a bloodbath," Chisora said.

It will be recalled that Fury was injured during a sparring match with Croatian heavyweight Agron Smakic (20-2, 18 KOs). Because of this, the fight against Usyk had to be postponed from February to May. The Briton himself calmly responded to the question of what would happen if the dissection reopened in a fight against the Ukrainian.

Before that, Tyson promised to beat Usyk easily and also mentioned the war in Ukraine. In turn, Oleksandr told what he would do if the Briton refused to enter the ring on May 18.

In addition, the World Boxing Council (WBC) announced its intention to change the rules of boxing for the sake of the Usyk-Fury fight. And British fans suddenly began to give up on the Ukrainian's chances of winning.

As OBOZ.UA previously reported, promoter Oleksandr Krasiuk spoke about the problem with holding the fight between Oleksandr Usyk and Tyson Fury on May 18. And the British representative Bob Arum has already spoken about the boxer's possible refusal to fight again.
