The World Boxing Council (WBC) belt holder Tyson Fury (34-0-1, 24 KOs) called Oleksandr Usyk (21-0, 14 KOs) the strongest opponent in his career. The Gypsy King, as the Manchester native is called, admitted that he was impressed by the Ukrainian's performances in the super-heavyweight division.

Fury said this in an interview with Box Nation. The British champion made a special emphasis on Usyk's fight against Daniel Dubois (20-2, 19 KOs) last August. He noted that the Ukrainian boxer looked great against the younger opponent.

"Usyk is the strongest guy I've ever fought. He's better than Klitschko, Wilder, Chisora, White. He's better than all of them. He is a world champion in two weight categories, an Olympic champion. Yes, I was very impressed with everything he does in heavyweight. He outboxed Joshua, who was considered a killer, and that didn't happen. He did a great job. At the age of 36, he beat 25-year-old Dubois. Usyk is a very good opponent," Fury said.

On the eve of the fight on May 18, the boxing teams had a fight that resulted in an autopsy for Tyson's father. Ukrainian Stanislav Stepchuk, who was hit in the head by John Fury, commented on the incident.

Later, the boxer's father apologized. In turn, Tyson himself appeared in Saudi Arabia on crutches, puzzling fans and experts alike.

Earlier, Fury called Usyk a sausage again and promised to beat him. The British boxer also spoke about being bullied in his younger years, when he was offered to quit the sport, and admitted why he actually decided to fight the Ukrainian.

The referee of the Usyk-Fury fight also became known. He got into a few funny situations. Promoter Eddie Hearn wished the Ukrainian a defeat in the fight.
