Unified heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk (21-0, 14 KOs) admitted that he had been doubting his fight against Tyson Fury (34-0-1, 24 KOs) until the last moment. The Ukrainian boxer noted that he was worried about his opponent in the last weeks of the training camp.

Usyk said this in an interview with TNT Sports. Our compatriot added that he feels great physically, comparing his current condition to the one he had before the 2012 Olympic Games in London when he won the gold medal.

"I was very worried about Tyson Fury. I was afraid that he would get injured again and our fight would not take place. If he was playing to the public when he announced the cut, he deserves an Oscar. We have a contract. This is a problem only for Tyson Fury. Tyson Fury signed the contract, so he has to fight. I feel great. It's like the Olympics. This is the most important fight of my career, my sports career, and my sports life. I want to say that my victory is the victory of the entire Ukrainian people, and defeat is personal," Usyk said.
