"I see strength": Lomachenko praised Metropolitan Onufriy, who was found to have a Russian passport
Former world champion in three weight categories Vasyl Lomachenko continues to promote the ideas of the so-called Russian world. The 35-year-old boxer once again swore allegiance to the head of the UOC-MP, Metropolitan Onufriy, calling him "a very bright man."
Lomachenko said this in an interview with the Union of Orthodox Journalists of Ukraine. The native of Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi, who has been silent about Russia's war against our country, praised Onufriy's activities. Earlier, he and more than 20 other priests were found to have Russian passports.
"A very bright person. You can feel the strength and power that the Almighty gives to people who have been developing spiritually for a long time. It's hard to find any words, it's hard to describe it. But you can feel the power of a person. You realize that he gets all this thanks to his prayers, efforts, and love for the Lord. Probably, this is how the Lord responds to him and gives him inner energy that a person can feel even when he is just next to him," Lomachenko said.
Earlier, Ukrainians offered to exchange Onufriy for Ukrainian soldiers illegally held by Russia.
As OBOZREVATEL previously reported, the legendary Olympic figure skating champion Oksana Baiul described her attitude to Vasyl Lomachenko.
