"Hands are giving up": ex-Russian footballer complains about IOC

Former Russian national footballer Vladislav Radimov has spoken out against Russian athletes competing in a neutral status at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris. The UEFA European Championship '96 participant admitted that he had given up after the aggressor country did not send an invitation to compete in France.
Radimov said this on the air of the propaganda TV channel Match TV. He noted that the International Olympic Committee (IOC) had forced him to change his position on Russian athletes travelling to the Games in Paris, which start in a year's time.
"I've always been in favour of playing in international tournaments, even without the anthem or flag. But now it seems very doubtful to me. Thomas Bach made it clear: 'Guys, we are not waiting for you at the Olympics'. After such incidents, you give up. In my opinion, it's better not to go to the Olympics. Because we will just be humiliated," Radimov said.
Earlier, Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto, echoing the narratives of Kremlin propaganda, called for the admission of Russian athletes to the 2024 Olympic Games, calling it a step towards peace.
As OBOZREVATEL previously reported, Russian fans unleashed a torrent of anger on Olympic champion, traitor to Ukraine and Dmitry Peskov's wife Tatyana Navka after she said that Russia would participate in the 2024 Olympics without a flag and anthem.
