Fedetsky told about Usik's trip to New York
Former Ukrainian national team player Artem Fedetskiy told how united world heavyweight champion Alexander Usik (20-0, 13 KOs) visited the front line. The boxer went to New York Donetsk region and fired from a tank at the positions of the Russian occupants, getting under return fire.
Fedetsky shared the story in an interview with the YouTube project Brutal Football. He also criticized journalists for constantly attacking Usik with questions about the belonging of Crimea and added that Alexander had demonstrated a patriotic stance even before the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine.
"Usik was persecuted in the beginning, when it all started. "Sanya, whose Crimea?" Well, how can he say Crimea is Ukrainian if he has family there. He puts it in jeopardy. He just went to the boys. And shot from a tank. I know that for a fact. Usik started to show himself even before February 24th. His wife is so right," Fedetsky said.
It should be noted that at the end of April Usik visited the location of the 24th separate mechanized brigade. The defenders of Ukraine showed a video of the boxer firing a mortar.
As reported by OBOZREVATEL, former world champion Russian Nikolay Valuev reposted a message from the propaganda Telegram channel "Storm News" in which Usik was called a fascist and a Bandera, and threatened with reprisal.
