"Frightened": unbeaten former world champion mocked Lomachenko and called the Ukrainian a coward
Former world champion in two weight categories Shakur Stevenson (20-0, 10 KOs) called Vasyl Lomachenko (17-3, 11 KOs) a coward for refusing a face-to-face fight. The American boxer challenged the Ukrainian to fight again and also appealed to the manager of the native of Bilhorod-Dnistrovsky Egis Klimas to influence his pupil.
Stevenson wrote this on his page on Twitter. The winner of the Olympic Games 2016 in Rio de Janeiro noted that the Ukrainian former champion in three weight categories is simply afraid to get in the ring with him and would rather hang the gloves on the nail.
"Vasyl Lomachenko, man, I used to have incredible respect for you, but now, as far as I can see, you're just as scared as everyone else. Are you going to end your career rather than get in the ring with me? Egis Klimas, tell him he has no other better offers on the table. Tell your fighter to get his balls in his hands and get in the ring with me," Stevenson wrote.
Vasyl Lomachenko lost to Devin Haney by unanimous decision of judges, which caused a lot of controversy among fans and experts. The unified heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk (20-0, 13 KOs) called it a robbery.
American cutman and trainer Russ Anber said that he reviewed the fight between Vasyl and Devin three times and each time gave the victory to Lomachenko. The World Boxing Organization (WBO) deprived the Ukrainian of first place in its ranking. At the same time, the World Boxing Council (WBC) awarded Lomachenko a championship fight.
As reported by OBOZREVATEL, Devin Hane was moked on Twitter after he announced his support for Ukraine and his intention to donate in favor of our country. In addition, the American suddenly talked about a rematch with Vasyl Lomachenko.
