"Fell for his image. At least a draw": Russian fighter ridiculously humiliated Usyk's victory over Fury

Russian fighter and boxer Timur Nikulin expressed an absurd opinion that the knockdown in the fight between Oleksandr Usyk (22-0, 14 KOs) and Tyson Fury (34-1-1, 24 KOs) should not have affected the result. The light heavyweight representative questioned the victory of the Ukrainian champion and predicted his defeat in the rematch.

Nikulin said this in an interview with the propaganda TV channel Match TV. The Russian added that he didn't see Fury's defeat, counting it a draw, and explained Tyson's knockdown in the ninth round by the fact that the Briton "had to fall for his image."

"I think the fight was very good, but there was at least a draw in this fight. This knockdown didn't play any role for me. I knew that one day Fury had to fall for his image. As a result, Usyk became the absolute champion, but now his belt will be taken away from him... I'm waiting for the rematch. It seems to me that Fury will win the rematch, if it happens. It seems to me that Usyk will not fight anymore, he will retire. I wouldn't be surprised if he ends his career altogether. It is beneficial for him to go undefeated. He has already achieved everything," Nikulin said.

Earlier, Russian MMA representative Oleg Taktarov was surprised by the victory of our champion, and also said that Usyk cannot be considered a legend because of his pro-Ukrainian position. Another fighter from Russia, Vyacheslav Datsyk, called the fight between Oleksandr and Tyson pornography. In his turn, promoter Vladimir Khryunov made a nonsense claim that the outcome of the fight between Oleksandr and Tyson was rigged.

Bookmakers have already started accepting bets on the rematch between Usyk and Fury. However, it is not yet known whether the Ukrainian will retain the title of absolute world heavyweight champion.
