Usyk responded to Fury
Unified super heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk (20-0, 13 KOs) commented angrily on the British Tyson Fury (33-0-1, 24 KOs), who in every possible way delays a face-to-face fight of boxers. In particular, the Ukrainian recalled the conditions that the Gypsy King, as they call the native of Manchester, put forward on April 29.
Usyk spoke about this in an interview with the YouTube channel iFL TV. He accused Fury of avoiding a super fight for the title of absolute world champion and also noted that he is now focused on his fight against mandatory challenger Daniel Dubois (19-1, 18 KOs).
"There was a lot of chatter from Tyson Fury, a lot of uncertainty and looking for some unclear factors. The rematch, the distribution of the fee 70% to 30%, then something else ... My understanding is that if we want to fight each other, we just need to sign a contract and that's it. If he's really as tough as he says he is, he can just come out, sign a contract and beat me. I'm ready for that. But we're not going to talk about him right now. F*** him," Usyk said.
To remind, Usyk and Dubois will fight on August 26 in Wroclaw. In case of victory the Ukrainian hopes to hold the unification of all belts of super heavyweight in a fight with Fury, who recently announced a fight with former champion of the Absolute Fighting Championship (UFC) Francis Ngannou.
