Vanat criticised Monzul

Dynamo Kyiv striker Vladyslav Vanat received a five-match ban for his remarks against referee Kateryna Monzul during a Presmer League match. The 21-year-old footballer criticised the Kharkiv-based referee for her work during the White and Blues' match against Ingulets on March 4, but did so in a discriminatory manner.

This was reported by the official website of the Ukrainian Football Association (UAF) following a meeting of the organisation's control and disciplinary committee. "In general, I have never seen women referee men's games in such a way in any top championship. We have it here, and for some reason it is very often in Dynamo matches," Vanat said after the game.

The UAF Control and Disciplinary Committee found these words of the Kyiv player to be incorrect. Vanat was suspended for three matches and two matches conditionally. "Dynamo was ordered to pay a fine of UAH 100,000.

It is worth noting that Dynamo lost to Ingulets in the opening match of the year - 0:2. According to the Kyiv team, Monzul unfairly scored the visitors' first goal in that match and also failed to award a penalty.

As OBOZREVATEL previously reported, Dynamo Kyiv suffered a sensational defeat at the hands of Chornomorets Odesa, the first time it lost under Oleksandr Shovkovskyi.
