Mikhail Mamiashvili, president of the Russian Wrestling Federation, called the pressure of the "overwhelming minority" of the country to exclude Russian athletes from international competitions. "I, as any normal person, have the most negative opinion of these decisions. Not a single charter, not a single statute of any sports federation prescribes the ban on the national flag. This is unprecedented political pressure. I declare with full responsibility, that is the case of the overwhelming minority. Thus, to be objective, to a certain extent they understand that they have to comply with this minority. But, on the other hand, it leads to the collapse of the Olympic movement," said Mamiashvili.
