Zakharova criticizes the IOC

Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova has made yet another ridiculous accusation against the International Olympic Committee (IOC). The Vladimir Putin regime's henchwoman was outraged by the conditions of admission of Russian athletes to the competition, calling them non-discriminatory.

Zakharova said this in an interview with the propaganda channel Match TV. The Russian diplomat added that IOC President Thomas Bach allegedly organized a conspiracy against representatives of the aggressor country, demanding that he "implement a sports philosophy aimed at peace, friendship and overcoming conflicts, not inciting them."

"But it turns out that the main international official in charge of sports is doing the opposite. In addition to the wild politicization, the story of setting people against each other, using people, countries, and nations on a national basis as an instrument of their dirty intrigues, we also saw a conspiracy. The greatest athletes were victims of a conspiracy. And here, a person organized a conspiracy against athletes. A unique situation! A conspiracy against athletes who were segregated on ethnic grounds," Zakharova threw a tantrum.

Earlier, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov criticized Bach and accused the IOC of "usurping the right to sport." And Olympic speed skating champion Svetlana Zhurova accused the IOC of humiliating Russians and treating them "like second-class citizens."
