Lewis speaks about the Usyk – Fury rematch

Former absolute world heavyweight champion Lennox Lewis expressed confidence that Tyson Fury (34-1-1, 24 KOs) should gain weight before his rematch with Oleksandr Usyk (22-0, 14 KOs). The boxing legend also emphasized that the Gypsy King, as the Briton is called, should be psychologically prepared for the fight.

Lewis said this in an interview with BBC 5 Live Boxing, according to DAZN. He added that Fury must have learned from his defeat by Usyk in the May 18 fight, when he did not do enough to win and was almost knocked out at the end of the ninth round.

"I think Fury has learned what he needs to do next time because he didn't do enough in the spring. He needs to do a lot more. I like him a little heavier in the fights and less mobile. He's going to have to beat himself first. He's been through it all before, so I think he can do it because he knows how. He's been up and down before. He's down here now, and he knows how to get back up. He just needs to put in the work," Lewis said.
