"A disgrace": Chisora reacts angrily to referee's work during the Usyk-Fury fight
British boxer Dereck Chisora (34-13, 23 KOs) criticized the referee of the fight between Oleksandr Usyk (22-0, 14 KOs) and Tyson Fury (34-1-1, 24 KOs). The 40-year-old veteran noted that the American Mark Nelson saved the Gypsy King because he was very slow to count the knockdown.
Chisora said this in an interview with Boxing Social. Usyk's former rival added that the outcome of the fight looks fair as the Ukrainian boxer was much more active, although he lost the opponent the middle of the fight. However, rounds 8-9 turned the fight in Oleksandr's favor.
"I think the result is fair. Oleksandr worked harder. Tyson won some rounds in the middle of the fight, but when he was knocked down, he lost it all. And let's be honest, it was the slowest damn count. Do you understand? It's a disgrace to boxing," Chisora said.
