On Monday, October 28, Adnan Kivan, a businessman of Arab-Syrian origin, died at the age of 62. The Ukrainian multimillionaire was the founder and owner of one of the country's largest construction companies, KADORR Group, and was involved in charity and philanthropy.

The KADORR Group press service noted on Instagram that Kivan was the largest Arab investor in Ukraine. According to the Dumskaya newspaper, the man allegedly had cancer.

"With a prayer on our lips, we are sending him off, because he did not divide people, but united them and believed that God's will is for everything... My sincere condolences to his wife, children, and grandchildren. His good deeds will live forever," the statement reads.

It should be noted that together with his Ukrainian wife, Kivan raised three children.

Adnan Kivan was born in 1962 in Syria. He received his education at the Odesa Academy of Food Technologies (he defended his PhD in engineering in Russia).

In Ukraine, he built his real estate business, mainly in Odesa. In this city, his company has commissioned more than 50 residential complexes and built shopping and business centers.

He was the owner of the Kyiv Post and Odesa-based Channel 7, as well as the company Zerno Agro and others.

In 2021, Kivan was among the top 100 richest people in Ukraine. Forbes estimated his wealth at $240 million.

"Business is not a science that can be taught to people in schools, it is super luck from God. And wealth is an absolute gift... Two things help us – prayer and the fact that we have money," Forbes quoted the entrepreneur as saying.

Kivan financed the construction of the Arab Cultural Center of Odesa and the Eastern Cultural Center.
