MP Maryana Bezuhla caused a stir by calling LGBT people "people with psychophysiological disabilities." She listed "being born gay, having psoriasis or an allergy to penicillin" as one of the diseases, and also spoke out against the "quota boom" and hurt overweight people, for which she was harshly criticized.

The MP described her prejudices in detail in a post published on X(Twitter) on January 13. She claimed that she was "categorically against discrimination."

She said that she "has nothing against it", but "the above-mentioned and many other conditions are deviations from the norm, or, from a scientific point of view, diseases" (in fact, science does not consider homosexual orientation a "disease").

The MP called unacceptable "the presentation of deviations as the norm and the substitution of concepts," and at the same time stated that she supports inclusion.

"So, about my position, for your information... Being an LGBT person is not a norm, but a psychophysiological deviation. Obesity is a disease that needs to be treated... I am currently against quotas as a phenomenon. Any (that is, any – Ed.)," Bezuhla wrote.

The post garnered more than 500 comments in less than a day. Most readers disagreed with the author.

Among those surprised by the MP's position was presidential adviser Dmytro Lytvyn. In response, Bezuhla for some reason advised him to talk to Volodymyr Zelenskyy about the actions of the Armed Forces leadership.

"It seems to me that many people would not mind seeing the limits of their competence and still decide what to interfere with and what not to interfere with," Lytvyn wrote in response.

Bezuhla found nothing better than to ignore all the comments and simply ask, "Are you gay?".

Other commentators noted that Bezuhla herself was substituting concepts and accused her of homophobia.

As OBOZ.UA previously reported, Maryana Bezuhla promised to join the "Lusty Monday" flash mob on Twitter if she quickly gained 10 thousand followers on this platform. In the comments, she was suggested to do more important things, such as her work as a deputy.
