Will the Usyk-Fury fight not take place? Suspicious moment revealed with the postponement of the fight

The former world champion made a frank confession

Former world super middleweight champion Carl Froch believes that the injury of Tyson Fury (34-0-1, 24 KOs) looks suspicious. On February 2, the WBC champion underwent an autopsy while preparing for his fight against WBA, WBO, IBO and IBF titles holder Oleksandr Usyk (21-0, 14 KOs). The fight, originally scheduled for February 17, has been officially postponed.

The Fury-Usyk fight is set to be one of the biggest since the turn of the millennium: the first heavyweight champion in the history of the four-belt era will be crowned in the historic and defining legacy of the fight.

In an interview with talkSPORT, Froch suggested that Fury could have been cut earlier, rather than during training camp.

"I'm not sure the fight will take place in May. To begin with, I doubt the cut. I wanted to see the cut and how it was stitched up. After I saw Tyson Fury on his Instagram, I realized that the cut doesn't look like an acute injury, it looks like a healing injury. It's covered with scabs, the swelling has gone down, and the bruise looks no more than a week or ten days old," the former boxer said.

In Froch's opinion, it looks like Fury's team was sitting around waiting for the right moment to break the news.

"This sparring video could be real, or it could be fake. But it looks like it was filmed on a Nokia 8210, because the footage is so blurry. And they didn't show us the actual dissection after the blow. I am very disappointed that the battle will not take place on February 17, and I have great doubts that it will take place on May 18," the expert concluded.
