Former world heavyweight champion Denis Lebedev criticized Oleksandr Usyk (22-0, 14 KOs) and Tyson Fury (34-2-1, 24 KOs) for not fighting in the rematch on December 21. Lebedev voiced this opinion in a commentary to the propaganda publication Sport-Express. "I think a third fight is quite possible. It was a great fight. Fury wanted to win, it was obvious. To be honest, I thought there would be a fight this time. I'm surprised! Such mastodons... Why didn't anyone choose the tactic of forcing a fight? I always looked at my opponents. I'm sure they did the same. Didn't they take into account the fight between Dereck Chisora and Usyk... And now with every fight Oleksandr is showing himself better and better. He hasn't changed his movement technique. His speed hasn't dropped. Everything is classic," Lebedev said.

It should be noted that another Russian media outlet ridiculously accused Usyk of "siding with terrorists."
