"Why did they get away with it?" Russian Olympic champion throws a tantrum and accuses Israel and Georgia of military aggression
Olympic champion Irina Rodnina threw a real tantrum over the conditions of admission of Russian athletes to international competitions. The former figure skater called them an injustice, a nightmare and a nightmare, and accused Israel and Georgia of military aggression.
Rodnina, who had actually admitted the existence of a doping system in Russia the day before, said this in a commentary to Sport24. The member of the Supreme Council of the United Russia party criticized the International Olympic Committee (IOC) and demanded that any sanctions against representatives of the aggressor country be lifted.
"The IOC has made so many mistakes that it is impossible to count. The latest statement is a nightmare! Why is Israel treated this way? How is Russia different from others? Why did Georgia start hostilities in South Ossetia during the Olympics and get away with it? Why was America allowed to participate in all the Games when the war in Vietnam was going on? Do they have such a short memory? But we have a good one, so we have to defend our rights! And the IOC can finally say who their masters are. Tell us already, everyone understands that this is on someone's orders," Rodnina was furious.
The IOC has made Russians hysterical with its statement about the war in Israel. In particular, the Olympic biathlon champion Sergey Chepikov has echoed Kremlin propaganda narratives about the fight against the "Anglo-Saxon world."
As OBOZ.UA previously reported, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov threatened "revenge" against the IOC because of its position on the aggressor country.
