Haye reacts to Fury's knockdown

Former world heavyweight champion David Haye was impressed with the performance of Oleksandr Usyk (22-0, 14 KOs) in his fight against Tyson Fury (34-1-1, 24 KOs). The Briton was especially puzzled by the ninth round of the fight when our compatriot knocked his opponent out.

TNT Sports posted a video of Haye's reaction to what was happening in the ring on its page on the social network X, formerly known as Twitter. The former boxer jumped out of his seat when Usyk launched his attack, landing a left side kick that sent Tyson to the ropes.

Haye started shouting and applauding in support of the Ukrainian. However, David was incredibly outraged by referee Mark Nelson's decision to give Fury a standing knockdown, which saved the Briton from an early defeat. "What the hell was that? What's he doing? That's the worst thing he could have done!" the Briton shouted angrily.

Immediately after the fight, Haye criticized Nelson. "The referee was holding Usyk's hand so that he couldn't finish his work," the Briton said. At the same time, it became known about a little-known rule that the referee used.

On May 18, the Ukrainian defeated Fury by a separate decision of the judges – 115:112, 113:114, 114:113. Tyson expressed his desire to visit Ukraine.

Following the fight, the Ukrainian was suspended from boxing for medical reasons. He was hospitalized after the fight. Promoter Oleksandr Krasiuk spoke about the details of the Ukrainian's jaw injury.

Later it became known that Usyk could have been arrested in Saudi Arabia after the fight. And the knockdown in the fight was found in an 18th-century painting.

Fury told what he was most pleased with in the fight with Usyk. A new video of the British knockdown in the fight with the Ukrainian was also published. In England, there is talk that the Gypsy King will end his career after the defeat.
