Former head coach of Dynamo Kyiv Oleksandr Khatskevych called for a sober assessment of the level of the Ukrainian national team, rather than being guided solely by the fact that many of its players play in leading European championships. The Belarusian expert noted that this alone cannot be the basis for calling the team a favorite in matches with teams such as Iceland or Bosnia.
Khatskevych expressed this opinion in an interview with Ukrainian Football, commenting on the victory of the Blue and Yellows over Iceland. The Champions League semifinalist and former coach of the Belarusian national team noted that the Ukrainian national team managed to demonstrate not only individual qualities in the Euro 2024 playoffs.
