Famous Ukrainian boxer Serhiy Derevyanchenko (15-6, 10 KOs) lost the WBC Continental Americas super middleweight title fight to undefeated Cameroonian from France Christian Mbilli (28-0, 23 KOs). The 10-round fight in Quebec, Canada, ended with a unanimous decision of 100-90, 99-91 and 98-92.

The 38-year-old native of Feodosia did not have a good start. Already in the 4th round, Serhiy injured the biceps of his left hand and had to box with only his second hand for the rest of the fight.

Despite this, the Ukrainian put up a decent fight against the favorite and managed to use the whole ring.

In the final phase of the fight, our compatriot tried to work left-handed and deliver jabs. The Cameroonian realized that his opponent was limited and pressed as much as he could, trying to end the fight early.

Derevyanchenko was able to escape a knockdown in a clinch and finish the fight on his feet despite his trainer demanding he get off.

Mbilli is a well-known puncher. Before meeting with Derevyanchenko, he won a quick victory over the British Mark Heffron (30-4-1, 24 KOs). The 10-round fight at the Gervais Auto Center in Shawinigan, Canada, ended in the 30th second.

On April 21, Derevyanchenko (15-5, 10 KOs) had his 15th professional victory. The 38-year-old native of Feodosia defeated local fighter Vaughn Alexander (18-11-1, 11 KOs) at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn (USA).
