Sergiy Vyacheslavovich Derevyanchenko is a famous Ukrainian boxer.

Brief biography

Sergiy Derevyanchenko was born on October 31, 1985 in Feodosia, Ukraine.

Derevyanchenko started boxing at the age of ten. And already at the age of eleven he reached the finals of the Ukrainian junior championship of boxing and won the "silver". In 2000, Derevyanchenko won an unqualified victory at the same championship.

In 2001 and again in 2002, he became the champion twice in a row at the European Youth Boxing Championships, first in Liverpool and then in L'viv.

In 2005 and later, from 2007 to 2010 he became the champion of Ukraine in amateur boxing for many times.

In 2010, Sergiy Derevyanchenko was one of the first participants of the newly created and implemented semi-professional World Series of Boxing. In the first season of the league he won six fights in a row, winning the title of the best fighter of the season. He received the same title in the second season of the league.

In 2014, Derevyanchenko signed a contract with the promotion Lou DiBella and made his professional boxing debut as a middleweight.

After only two successful performances that ended with the Ukrainian's victory, Derevyanchenko signed a contract with the manager of the famous Floyd Mayweather - Al Haymon.
