Ukraine's Sviatoslav Mykhailiuk played his best official game of the season in the National Basketball Association (NBA). The point guard played for the Utah Jazz for the second time in a row. It was also the second time this season that he was inluded in the starting lineup.
The 27-year-old graduate of the Cherkasy First City Gymnasia played 21 minutes and scored 13 points in the game against Portland.
Our compatriot made 2/3 of two-pointers and 3/4 of three-pointers. Svyatoslav also grabbed 8 rebounds, as well as made 4 assists and 1 steal. He also had 3 losses and 2 fouls.
Utah won 141-99. It is the first victory for a Ukrainian basketball player this season.
Sviatoslav has played a total of five games this NBA season, averaging 14.2 minutes, 6.0 points, 1.8 rebounds and 1.6 assists.
On October 10, Mykhailiuk played his first unofficial game with Utah. The Cherkasy native played 16 minutes and 33 seconds in the preseason game against San Antonio, scoring 16 points.
As reported, Mykhailiuk signed a contract with the new club in early August. According to the agreement, he will receive $15 million.
