This was the "trump card" of Elizabeth II: makeup trick that Kate Middleton never uses
Fans of the royal family have long noticed some similarities in the style of Elizabeth II and Kate Middleton. So it's no secret that the Princess of Wales has inherited some of the Queen's fashion choices.
However, when it comes to makeup, Prince William's wife follows her own preferences. In particular, she stubbornly avoids Elizabeth's favorite technique.
Kate Middleton is a well-known trendsetter: her wardrobe items or cosmetics quickly become bestsellers. However, what you will never see on the princess's lips is a red or dark pink shade. Unlike the former British queen, who has repeatedly appeared in public with bright lipstick during her long 70 years of reign.
Despite the royal protocol, Elizabeth II proved that sometimes you can break the rules. This was justified by her love of bright lips, which, by the way, suited the queen well.
The Princess of Wales prefers softer shades instead. The only exception was the wedding of Kate and William: the bride chose pink lipstick for her self-made makeup. But this shade was still not brighter than those favored by the Queen.
Earlier, OBOZ.UA talked about the color chosen by queens. Kate Middleton, Camilla and Letizia hinted at a new trend of the season.
